Benjamin moved to Santa Barbara from Anderson, California, to attend Santa Barbara City College and UCSB. He joined SBIFF as a Development intern in 2012 and has served as Director of Development for the past six years, collaborating with international philanthropists, artists, and major brands including Netflix, Amazon Studios, Sony, Patagonia, Lexus/Toyota, and LVMH. He helped lead the 2017 Riviera Project to transform the historic Riviera Theatre into a year-round arthouse venue and now heads SBIFF’s $25 million Film Center Project for the McHurley Film Center on State Street.
